Conran wins big!

Conran's clients scoop three golds and a silver award at the recent Corporate & Financial Awards.

28 September 2017

A fantastic achievement Tuesday night for Conran Design Group’s clients who scooped three golds and a silver award for their reports at the Corporate & Financial Awards. The awards programme, run by Communicate Magazine, recognises companies with innovative and creative communications strategies that communicate to multiple stakeholders with a single distinct voice.

Conran’s results with its clients were as follows:

ITV plc — Gold for ‘Best FTSE 100 printed report’

A household name in British television, ITV has become an integrated producer and broadcaster that creates, owns and distributes high-quality content across multiple platforms. For its 2016 annual report, ITV enlisted Conran to take on the challenge of articulating its powerful investment case to stakeholders, positioning ITV as an experienced broadcaster with a strong track record of success. A clear and comprehensive report was delivered, which the judges agreed had vibrant visuals and a strong brand presence, making for a winning report.

Cancer Research UK — Gold for ‘Best unlisted printed report’

The annual report is a key tool for Cancer Research UK to communicate its work and achievements, as well as the impact it has on people’s lives. To help Cancer Research UK reach its 2016 goal of focusing not just on the future, but the immediate differences the charity makes, Conran made great use of infographics to explain research programmes, their findings and potential benefits. The approach won the judges over, who described the report as ‘well pitched in both design and content, with strong human interest and useful insight into what goes beyond the donations’.

Associated British Foods — Gold for ‘Best CSR/ESG report’

For its first full sustainability report published since 2013, Associated British Foods worked with Conran to develop a report with strong thematic ties throughout, crafting a narrative that links the disparate business units together through concrete results and case studies. The report’s comprehensive and clear structure bowled over the judges who named it best-in-class for CSR/ESG reports.

intu properties — Silver for ‘Best CSR/ESG report’

Despite already achieving many of its corporate responsibility targets for 2020, intu properties set forth a bold plan for the future in its 2016 CSR report. Conran helped intu properties to demonstrate its leadership which has made it a force in prime shopping centres in both the UK and Spain.

Karen Almeida, Head of Reporting, Conran Design Group ‘We are thrilled with this win. It is great recognition of our strategic approach, working closely with our clients to blend compelling content and engaging creative design.’
